Summer Fun!

Catherine is totally in her element this summer! She is really coming out of her shell and exploring more and more on her own. Her timing could not be better, as I'll have my hands soon enough!
Her favorite activities include sidewalk chalk, riding her new bike, swinging, painting on her easel, running in the sprinkler, swimming at the pool and lots of playdates with friends!
Her most recent accomplishment is spelling her FULL name! I'm so proud of her, considering it's 9 letters long! Here's a pic of some recent practicing:

We even went down to the beach in Galveston last week with friends!

Oh, to be a kid again and just ENJOY the summer and all that it brings! Brings back good memories!

35 years YOUNG!

Today is my birthday- my 35th birthday. WOW. I'm gettin' up there.

I had a great day spending time with Catherine at the pool, came home to 50+ Facebook Bday wishes, then had Bunco tonight where the girls threw me a surprise baby shower- so so sweet.

I am so grateful and humbled by how much people go out of their way for our little family. It means so much and just proves to me time and time again how blessed we are!

So, I guess being 35 isn't so bad- life is only getting better and better!

Although, I DID find my first gray hair a few days ago...ugh.

well, we still don't know. We have exactly 3 weeks (that's 21 days, folks) until Little Bump arrives, and Mike and I STILL cannot decide on a name for this child. How pathetic! Maybe we'll just have to see him to decide.
