Love this

I found this wally over Christmas and was so excited. We have a large blank wall in our kitchen- and this would be perfect! I just LOVE the saying.
Unfortunately, after my father took about an hour to apply it, it started peeling off. Boooo.
He removed it and is going to try to apply it to a piece of distressed wood- I cannot wait!

Catherine's crazy idea

Catherine is completely into dressing up. If it was up to her, she'd wear the same 3 dresses, day after day after day.
That said, she's also very opinionated about the way her hair is done every day. While we were in Houston, she became very interested in brushing and "doing" my (and my mom's) hair.
Here are the results of our crazy fun! Attractive, huh?

My handsome husband

Mike took a trip to the London office right before our return to the U.S. The poor guy was there for a week (and had adjusted to London time) before he returned to Mumbai for 2 days, only to get on a plane with us to Houston...I really don't know how he does it- he is a machine.
In any case, the London office hosted a Christmas dinner, and Mike decided to go dressed in traditional Indian garb, so as to represent the India office.
Here he is with Madhu, his collegue here in Mumbai. Doesn't he look handsome?
Note: check out the shoes!

What? 7 months already?

Happy 7-month Birthday, Ryan!

Our little man is GROWING! At his 6-month checkup, he was up to 17 lbs, 12 oz!! Still only in the 50%, but those thighs are so chunky that everyone comments on how big he's gotten.

Here are some of his lastest acheivements:

Blowing raspberries! Result: sopping wet face, shirt, hands...you get the picture! Check out the drip on that chin!

Rolling! Front-to-back and mostly back-to-front

Sitting! Will sit for long periods; this has opened a whole new world for him

Standing! Loves to be the big man in the house- he's really quite strong

Eating! Started with rice cereal once a night, and within the month up to 2 full meals a day, including his favorites: peas, squash and sweet potatoes. Loves baby yogurt too! Not so fun: peaches- he gets the riggors with every bite.

Playing! He loves to interact with others and play games, including peek-a-boo, tickle-my-tummy, kisses, kisses and High-5!

An obsession with TOES! He is a riot- he'll twist himself into crazy positions to catch a glimpse of toes, toes, toes!

We are amazed by how fast time is flying this time around...we are truly enjoying our happy little man each and every day.

Catch up

Phew! I have a LOT to post! We have been incredibly busy and incredibly blessed over the past month.

Our trip home to Houston was a whirlwind, but so worth it. We were back for exactly 26 days and crammed as much into each day as we could. We had guests for 14 days (thanks Mom, Dad, Cari and Shaun for making the trek to see us!), and saw as many friends as we could! We even ate out 10 nights- that's an amazing record for us!

We are now back in Mumbai, and I'm playing catch up. I'm trying to decide whether to post one giant recount of our trip, or break it up into smaller entries...we'll see. I have so much to talk about!

But for now...I'm off to wrangle 2 jetlagged kids and try to convince them that it's 3 am, not 3 pm.....more coffee please! :)
