Cooking class!

Catherine's class has a cooking lesson every week...parents are asked to come in and lead the lesson. It's a great way to get the parents involved, and the kids are so proud when they see their own parent come in for the cooking class.

Several moms have had great ideas: bananas on sticks rolled in sprinkles, faces on sandwiches using olives and pimentos, chocolate corn flake treats, tomato/mozarella kebabs with pesto dip, etc.

Not me. When it came to my turn, we made TRAIL MIX! Yay! I have to admit, having a(nother) baby has slowed me down. I just didn't have the energy to search all over Mumbai for candy corns or anything else Thanksgiving-ish. So- I headed to the store and found 15 ingredients. That's a lot, yes, but I was bound and determined to get each kid to participate. And they did!

Here we are in action:

The final result:

The kids declared the chocolate chips to be their favorite!

Catherine was a huge help the night before, and was very excited to share her "American" snack with her friends.
