Oh, my! I'd forgotten how much work a mover and a shaker can be! Since the minute he started crawling (on his 9-month birthday), Ryan has been busy!
In every aspect, he is careening towards toddlerhood. Am I ready? NO.
Pulling himself up to standing, feeding himself, playing solo for long periods, babbling, dancing, participating in games, crawling....WOW. He's made some serious progress! You'd never know he was a premie.
Ryan still insists on eating massive amounts of food in any one sitting. As long as he's fed, he's happy. I think he'd snack all day if I let him. We've been working with various sippy cups and the Nuby seems to be most successful. He'll happily drink water during meals...I'm holding off on the juice for as long as possible. He's still breastfeeding about 4 times a day...I'm thinking I'll continue till about 12 months or so.
Ryan is a happy boy (as long as he's fed). He has a silly sense of humor, and has the cutest laugh ever. His favorite noise is "Oink!"- he'll giggle every time!
He's still taking 2 naps a day and sleeping (for the most part- our China trip messed him up) through the night. He definitely sleeps best in his own bed, but does take naps in the car or the stroller.
His 3rd tooth popped through a few days ago- his top 2nd left tooth. He's going to look like a vampire! Funny- Catherine's teeth came in the same order.
His hair is starting to grow very quickly now and is even getting wavy in the back. It's still very dark...anxious to see if it will lighten at all. His sideburns are growing in quickly- thank goodness!
He follows me EVERYWHERE now. He definitely does not like to be alone. About a week ago, Stranger Anxiety kicked in. It's tough, but it's all part of growing up. Mommy cannot be out of sight for even 2 seconds, and he definitely does not like to be held by others now. Daddy and Cate are still "cool", but no one else!
What else can I say? He's my favorite boy in the whole wide world- and for good reason: he's cute (like his dad) and cuddly (like his sis) and has a good appetite (like him mom)!!
Figuring out the walker- still going backwards....
Caught! Making a big mess with the books.
Ready to conquer the Great Wall of China.
"OINK!" makes him laugh and laugh!
Eating- as usual.
He is precious!!!!!!! I can't believe that he is ten months already? Did I say that when he was nine months old? Doesn't it go so fast?! I can't wait to meet your kids. Hopefully sometime this summer when you are in Houston. We'll come for a visit.
