Update on Ryan

Ryan is doing GREAT! He is a fighter through and through! On Monday, he was put on a C-Pap, a device that blows oxygen into his nose and allows his lungs to strengthen without so much work on his part. He started off at 52% oxygen, and will need to reach 21% (which is equivalent to room air) before he's taken off. Great news- he's down to 28%!

Once he reaches this goal, his next goal will be to maintain his own temperature without the warmer. Then- he will need to accomplish eating skills- he'll need to be able to orally consume milk via breast or bottle and prove that he can gain weight.
I was discharged from the hospital today:

We'll be going back a few times a day to visit him. I am so so so thankful for the NICU staff- they are WONDERFUL and such compassionate people. They answer our questions over and over and assure us that everything will be fine- he just needs time to get stronger and will be home before we know it.
Will post more current pictures soon- I'm exhausted and need to sleep now!
