He is beautiful- he was born on June 21st, 2009 at 10:23 am. He weighed in at 5 lbs, 11 oz and is 18.5" long. He has a full head of black hair, my nose and ears, Mike's lips, and Catherine's toes!
We are still in the hospital- Ryan has been checked into the Level 2 Nursery here at Memorial Hermann Katy hospital, as he is having difficulty breathing and maintaining good oxygen levels. He is being fed intravenously, but I am pumping with hopes of being able to nurse once he is ready.
I am feeling well- I'm up and about, and I think that it's true what they say about multiple C-sections- each one gets easier! This is my 3rd, so I might be running a 5K tomorrow- haha!
We are taking it day by day and we are praying that Ryan will continue to be strong and focus his energy on growing. Once he maintains his breathing goals, we'll be working on feeding goals and only then will he be released.
Thank you everyone for your notes, emails, calls and prayers...please continue to pray for Ryan so we can hold him in our arms and bring him home soon soon soon!
Congratulations!!! He is beautiful, Tara! I will be keeping little Ryan in my prayers and look forward to hearing updates of him growing healthy and strong.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!!! Ryan is beautiful. He looks so good, too. My kids all spent time in the NICU and I know how stressful and scary it can be. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
